If online credit card transaction fails…

Reasons for such failure may simply be the use of wrong card details or exceeded card limit, etc. In other cases, the reasons are less obvious and may relate to security measures implemented by credit card companies to protect the cardholder.

All credit card payments are directed to a third-party (bank) site for processing and are not seen or processed by the ICLP-SIPDA 2021 organizing staff (SLPRD). Thus unfortunately organizing staff is unable to assist in solving such issues and it is strictly a matter between the card issuing credit card Company (who refused to authorize the transaction) and the credit card holder who initiated the transaction.

In case of a transaction failure, we recommend to first try using an alternative credit card, or to give it another try with the same credit card again but at a later time. In most cases, this would solve the issue.

Should the transaction continue to fail you might want to get in touch with your credit card company. Your credit card company will be able to check the transaction log for your credit card and help fix the problem.

In case none of the above options would work for you, the alternative is a regular ‘offline’ transfer of money into the SLPRD bank account.

Cancellation

If a registrant is expecting to cancel the registration, the following conditions should be considered.

• The registrant should formally request through registered email address to iclp@phys.cmb.ac.lk on or before 30th August 2021.
• Any requests made after 30th August 2021 are no longer eligible for a refund.
• All refunds will incur USD 125 of an administration fee.
